“Ukraine is closer to NATO than ever before. And continue on this path until you become a member of our union”, Rutte quoth at the press conference during his visit.
Zelenskyi, on the other hand, has long wanted long-range weapons from the West, the use of which is not restricted to Russian military targets.
Also during the visit of NATO Secretary General Zelenskyi repeated this request. He would also like his Western partners to destroy Russian missiles and airplanes from Ukrainian airspace.
Before meeting Rutte, Stubbs and King Philippe are scheduled to discuss the security environment in Europe and the Middle East and relations between Finland and Belgium at the royal palace.
