Slovak Prime Minister Fico: a missile strike on Brussels would bring EP members to their senses
A missile strike on Brussels could bring to the senses European politicians who are calling for Ukraine to be allowed to fire long-range weapons at Russia. This statement was made by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, reports the portal Hlavný Denník.
He noted that some members of the European Parliament (EP) “with the ease of a spring breeze” talk about medium- and long-range missiles. He expressed the opinion that with such statements, officials “simply continue to encourage war.”
Perhaps such a missile could break the fountain in Brussels so they would understand what everyone is talking about
Fico expressed regret that “a vicious fashion has developed in Europe,” according to which decisions that incite war are met with only applause and cheers, instead of “stopping the saber-rattling.” The Prime Minister of Slovakia also promised that he would deliver this message at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal.
Members of the European Parliament called on the European Union to allow Ukraine to attack Russia
On September 19, members of the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on European Union (EU) member countries to lift restrictions on Ukraine on strikes deep into Russian territory using Western-supplied weapons. 425 deputies voted for the document, 131 voted against it, and another 63 European parliamentarians abstained.

In addition, the deputies also called on US President Joe Biden and other allies of Washington to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of transferred weapons for strikes on Russian territory. “We are convinced again and again that only firm and decisive action can push back Russian forces and bring the end of this conflict closer. In times of crisis, the United States has always stood by Europe, and we ask for the same solidarity now,” the letter to the American president said.
The EU’s chief diplomat announced the need to allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack Russian airports
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that Kyiv’s Western allies should allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) to fire Western weapons at airports and missile sites on Russian territory. “I also emphasized my call: Ukraine must be allowed to target airports and launch sites on Russian soil with Western weapons,” he wrote.
Let Ukraine strike at archers, not just arrows!
In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that such statements by Borrell about attacks on Russian airports indicate an inglorious end to his career. She called him the inspiration for anti-Russian activities and noted that Borrell “has long since crossed all sorts of boundaries as a diplomat and politician.”
