The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahureiterated this Monday at the Hebrew State ceremony for the first anniversary of October 7 that he “will continue fighting” in the Gaza Strip as long as hostages remain in the hands of Hamas.

“As long as the enemy threatens our existence and the peace of our country, we will continue to fight. We will not give up any of them (the hostages). I will not resign until our citizens return home safely, we will continue to fight“he said in a recorded video message.
The Israeli president described the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7, one year ago today, as “indescribable sadness”, but assured that Israel “was not defeated.”
“And as has happened time and time again in Israel’s history, it is precisely in times of difficulty that great inner strength emerges,” he asserted.
The attack by the Islamist organization, the worst on Israeli soil since the creation of its State, left 1,200 dead and 251 kidnapped. Twelve months later, almost a hundred hostages remain in the enclave.
“We have mobilized enormous spiritual power. We have defined the objectives of the war and we are achieving them: overthrowing Hamas rule; “Bringing all of our hostages home, both dead and alive, is a sacred mission that we will not let go until we achieve it,” he added.
