A Ukrainian special forces rescues the family of a naval officer from Russian captivity. The evacuation from Crimea seems like a film.
Sevastopol – Crimea, which was occupied by the Moscow regime from Russia in violation of international law, is repeatedly the focus of the Ukraine war. So now again with a cinematic rescue operation.
Ukraine War: Cinematic rescue operation from the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea
As the Ukrainian Navy reported on Facebook (see video below), a special unit called “Angels” (German: Engel) freed the family of an officer from Russian captivity from the Black Sea peninsula. The mission was allegedly not noticed by the Russian foreign intelligence service FSB.
“The Angels Special Intelligence Squad under the command of the Commander of the Naval Defense Forces of Ukraine Alexei Neishpapa carried out a complex operation and evacuated the family of a military Navy officer from the temporarily occupied Crimea,” it said in a Facebook post. What’s more: This was achieved “under the nose of the FSB”.
Ukraine News: Special unit frees Ukrainian family from Russian captivity
The families had to leave Crimea because of “persecution by the FSB,” a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy said in a video post. “On September 18, the entire family of four – the officer’s parents, a sister and a minor niece – were illegally detained by the occupiers. They were subjected to psychological pressure and threats of torture for three days. “The occupiers were planning to get them to cooperate with the Ukrainian officer,” the spokesman continued.
On September 20, the family was released temporarily and only on the condition that the officer – who therefore works for the Ukrainian naval forces – would report to FSB officials for collaboration within the next five days, the social said -Media posting. Otherwise, the family could face many years in prison by the Russian authorities in Crimea.
Black Sea peninsula Crimea: Successful rescue operation by the Ukrainian Navy
The Navy High Command finally decided to task the special unit known as the “Navy Angel” with the liberation of Crimea. “The operation was planned and successfully carried out within a tight time frame of complete confidentiality. The family was evacuated practically under the noses of the occupiers,” the Ukrainian Navy said on its Facebook page, pointing out that the “angels” have already rescued 73 people of Ukrainian origin from Russian captivity or house arrest. The officer’s collaboration, which the FSB allegedly intended, did not materialize.
The family reunion can be seen in the video. However, it is not known how the Ukrainian elite soldiers brought the officer’s relatives from Crimea – for example using inflatable boats or even overland. In the video, fighters can be seen packing weapons and driving off-road vehicles for their mission. But nothing more.

Ukraine war: Crimea and Kerch Bridge remain in focus
While the Donbass bastion of Wuhledar fell to the Russians in the east of the battered country, the situation in Crimea remains a topic of much attention. This is what the Moscow regime has been doing these days, according to the online portal Defense Express (DE) bring several heavy S-300 air defense systems to the Crimean bridge. Accordingly, there are fears of a renewed Ukrainian attack on the strategically important Kerch Bridge. On Monday (October 7th), a large fuel depot in Feodosiya burned in Crimea following a Ukrainian air strike. (pm)
