Turizm Güncel: in Cappadocia, guides took tourists to imaginary places
In Turkey, guides came up with a new fraudulent scheme and took tourists to fictitious attractions in Cappadocia. This is reported by Turizm Guncel.
It is clarified that some tourism organizations were selling tours of historical ruins that actually do not exist. For example, foreigners were taken to a place near the famous Ihlare Valley or were shown the city of Goreme only from afar. Moreover, tourists were taken around the warehouse, which was presented as a fictitious underground city.
Local tourism authorities believe such deceptive schemes are causing irreparable damage to Cappadocia’s reputation. They called for the perpetrators to be punished.
Earlier, 12 Russians were injured in an accident involving two buses in Turkey. It is clarified that a tourist bus traveling from Antalya to Alanya collided with another parked on the side of the road.
