For governor, “politics is open, that’s why there are 2 shifts”; its candidate, Sandro Mabel (União), competes with Fred Rodrigues (PL) for Mayor of Goiânia
The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (Union), said he will “talk to everyone” to try to elect your ally Sandro Mabel (União) for the City Hall of Goiânia, in Goiás, in the 2nd round. To the newspaper The Globedeclared that he does not rule out negotiating with the PT.
Mabel is in the 2nd round against Fred Rodrigues (PL) – supported by the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The Bolsonarist came in 1st with 31.14% of the votes, followed by the União Brasil politician with 27.66%.
Adriana Accorsi (PT), candidate of the president’s party Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) came in 3rd place with 24.44% of the votes. Thus, the voters of the PT candidate can greatly influence the dispute in the 2nd round.
“I’m from politics. There is no such thing as politics that is cloistered, politics is open, that’s why it has 2 shifts. I am a person who talks, I have no difficulty talking. […] I talk to everyone, I have no restrictions on talking to people”Caiado said to The Globe.
The governor also supported the candidate Leandro Vilela (MDB) for the City Hall of Aparecida de Goiânia. The city will have a 2nd round between Vilela, with 48.02% of valid votes, and another Bolsonaro candidate, the Professor Alcides (PL), which had 43.04%.
“The choices in the 2 cities are choices with competence and management capacity. With a big difference from the PL candidate [Fred Rodrigues]which does not have the same requirements that Goiânia requires to improve the capital”said Caiado.
