In the Tver region, a bust of Vysotsky sent for restoration was thrown away
In the Tver region, a bust of Vladimir Vysotsky was thrown away. Local residents found the monument on the outskirts of the railway station, reports the Anonymous Bologoe community on the social network “VKontakte”.
The incident occurred in the city of Bologoye, where the bard came to rest more than once – his first wife’s dacha was located here. Two years ago, the sculpture was sent for restoration, after which it never returned to its place. The monument was only recently found standing in the weeds. The bust and pedestal were separated but not damaged, but the townspeople did not find the tablet with the poems.
The sculpture was created in 2012 with private funds and decorated the platform of the railway station. However, soon after installation it became clear that there was a spelling mistake in the inscription on the pedestal. The monument was engraved: “My trains will not return empty…”. By words author of the composition, the text for engraving was sent to him by the customer – deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly Mikhail Sadovnikov. He himself admitted that he accurately quoted poems from the poet’s collection.
Earlier in Khakassia, the head of the village council demolished a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and was put on trial. The dismantling was carried out under the pretext of overhauling the memorial.
