Power bank suddenly explodes in a school in Naples
The use of a device that in reality may seem banal and harmless instead turned into something extremely dangerous for children who were at school. We are referring to a power banks which literally exploded, setting fire to a backpack and injuring several young people.
Here’s what happened.
Unexpected accident at school: a power bank suddenly explodes
For a few years now there have been objects that save our lives and that we all usually call what power banks. It is an electronic device that can be recharged like a cell phone. This is based on the presence of a drums to be used in case of emergency to recharge your mobile device.
This device should be safe but unfortunately it is not and we had proof of this following what happened at a high school in Naples. It all happened suddenly when it occurred an explosion which led to serious repercussions on some students.
A girl had her power bank in her backpack when, suddenly, this is explodedsetting his bag on fire and resulting in large smoke exhalations. The drama occurred at the state high school Elio Vittorini of Naples.
Some boys are hospitalized following the accident
According to the first reconstructions provided by the police, the power bank in question was located inside a plastic bag placed in a girl’s backpack. All was well, until a loud bang occurred inside the backpack, then generating toxic fumes following the burning of plastic.
Luckily all the students in the class were evacuated and emergency services were contacted immediately to intervene on the students involved. From what we know 7 kids they were slightly intoxicated by what happened and two of them had to go to the emergency room.
Obviously there are no measures to take since the power bank is a tool that can be used wherever the phone is I unload. For this reason, a child certainly cannot be prohibited from taking it to school. The high school principal, that is Donatella Mascagnahowever, took advantage of this opportunity to remember how even those devices that seem harmless can cause irreparable damage even in unsuspecting moments.
