A fire broke out in the early hours of the morning in an oil depot in Feodosia, a city in Crimea occupied by Russiapresumably following a drone attack. Residents reported hearing several powerful explosions at around 4.30am local time, shortly before the fire started. The Crimean Wind Telegram channel also reported that Belbek and Saky airfields were attacked overnight.
“There is a fire at the Feodosia oil depot. Emergency services are on site. No casualties or injuries have been reported,” Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the Russian-installed chief deputy of Crimea, wrote on Telegram. The Astra Telegram channel then clarified that the burning structure was the Marine Oil Terminal, previously hit by drones in March. The Feodosia terminal is the largest in Crimea for handling petroleum products. In Sevastopol there is only one other terminal of this type.
Moscow: “21 Kiev drones destroyed during the night”
Last night Russian air defense systems destroyed 21 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the country, 12 of which were shot down over Crimea. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, specifying that “the Kiev regime’s attempts to carry out terrorist attacks using aerial UAVs against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation have been stopped”.
