Guerrero, Mexico.- State police abandoned the patrols and the barracks of the community of Fresnos de Puerto Rico, in the Municipality of Ajuchitlán del Progreso, in the Tierra Caliente region, due to lack of resources, according to residents of the Sierra del Filo Mayor.
The inhabitants recorded the empty barracks facilities and reported that the security agents went on foot through the hills to look for food, due to the lack of resources.
They indicated that surely the Government of Morenista Evelyn Salgado has not sent food to the police because the area was devastated by the rains caused by Hurricane “John.” State agents who work in Chilpancingo denounced that the state government has not deposited their travel expenses for the month of September either.
In a video broadcast on social networks, residents of the Sierra de Ajuchitlán del Progreso denounced that since September 25, the area has been cut off due to landslides and landslides on the roads.
They point out that there is also no access to the two routes that people from the Sierra del Filo Mayor use to travel to the Municipality of Tecpan de Galeana, on the Costa Grande. “We do not have access to food or fuel; there are damages to homes, businesses are closed and there is no longer where to buy food,” say the inhabitants of Ajuchitlán del Progreso. “We urgently ask for help with sufficient food supplies, corn, beans, milk, canned food and the fastest way to open the roads,” demand the mountain residents.
