The former Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister, Ambassador Mohamed Hegazy, praised the humanitarian support that the UAE provided to the Palestinian people since the first day of the war, stressing that this support is important and appreciated, whether on the Palestinian, Arab or international levels, and came within the framework of the Arab and humanitarian unity that distinguishes the UAE and its constant sense of Standing with our brothers and supporting them in all fields, especially in this tragedy that the Palestinian people are going through in Gaza.
Ambassador Hijazi explained, in a statement to Al-Ittihad, that the UAE’s humanitarian support for the people of Gaza is a responsible position and expresses authenticity and hard work in order to save the people of Palestine who cling to their land and homeland.

The UAE also actively participated in the Security Council session on October 25 to vote on two draft resolutions on the war in Gaza, the first presented by the United States, and the second presented by Russia. The UAE voted against the American resolution for not calling for a ceasefire, and at the same time, it voted in favor of The Russian decision calling for an immediate ceasefire, which embodies the state’s policy based on the principles of peace and security.
Historic decision
The former Palestinian ambassador to Cairo stated that Emirati diplomacy is working continuously, whether in the United Nations or the Security Council, to support the Palestinian cause, preserve the rights of the Palestinian people, and establish an independent state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy. These moves have achieved exceptional and historical successes, most notably the adoption of The Security Council adopted Resolution 2720, which was submitted by the UAE and demanded that fundamental and concrete steps be taken to increase the flow of humanitarian aid needed by the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and to protect United Nations employees and humanitarian workers. Exceptional situations
In turn, the former Assistant to the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Hamdi Saleh, explained that the UAE adopted exceptional political and diplomatic positions in the Security Council regarding the war in Gaza, and was keen to support the efforts of the international community to end the military escalation, ensure the opening of humanitarian corridors, and allow the delivery of aid to the Strip in a safe and urgent manner.
