Ex-CIA analyst McGovern: Zelensky accelerated Russia’s offensive in Donbass
In the United States, ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern assessed the attack plan of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on the Kursk region. The corresponding interview leads YouTube-Judging Freedom channel.
The expert ironically called Zelensky’s plan a “wonderful idea,” which consisted of sending troops to the Russian region. According to McGovern, because of this, the Ukrainian leader accelerated Russia’s offensive in the Donbass. “This is one of the reasons why the Russian army is advancing three times faster than usual,” he explained.
In addition, McGovern noted that the Ukrainian army cannot receive additional assistance in the Donbass due to the fact that their brigades are in the Kursk region. “They are losing. They are losing quickly, many of them are surrendering,” he said, pointing to the liberation of Ugledar by Russian troops.
Earlier, ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson spoke about a new phase of the Ukrainian conflict over Ugledar. In his opinion, the capture of the city became an indicative example of the campaign that Russia is currently conducting.
