The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case against fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) involved in brutal murders in the Kursk region. reports about this RIA Novosti with reference to the department’s message.
Reportedly, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 105 (murder and attempted murder of two or more persons, committed by an organized group in a generally dangerous manner based on political and ideological hatred) and Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act). Soldiers of the 41st separate mechanized brigade, the 103rd separate territorial defense brigade and other formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were named as those involved in the massacres.
“During the preliminary investigation, all representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine involved in these crimes will be identified and brought to justice as provided for by law,” the Investigative Committee said.
Earlier, the prosecutor’s office transferred to the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) the criminal case of the commander of the mortar battery of the 36th separate marine brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Yankovsky. The prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in the criminal case.
