Ciudad Juárez.- With the new resources from the Public Registry of Vehicles (Repuve), the Municipality will rehabilitate and pave 14 streets, stated the person in charge of the Social Communication Coordination office, Carlos Nájera Payán.
He added that to date the City Council has received 379 million 363 thousand 797 pesos with which 59 roads have been intervened.
Some of the streets that will be worked with the last resource assigned by the Federation are David Herrera Jordán, Satélite, Canarios, Plutarco Elías Calles, Bocoyna, Camino a San Carlos and Valentín Fuentesamong others.
Nájera indicated that in 2022, 141 million 438 thousand 420 pesos were received, in 2023 it was 169 million 19 thousand 352 pesos and from January to June 2024, 68 million 906 thousand pesos were delivered.
“With this, work has been done on 59 roads, among which are, for example, Oscar Flores Avenue, Tecnológico Avenue, a section of De Las Torres Avenue, Juan Gabriel road axis, Jesús Escobar Street, about 22 streets in the Historic Center , Morelia Avenue, Hermanos Escobar, Lincoln, Américas and Pedro Meses Hoyos,” said Nájera.
He added that with the 59 roads and the 14 slopes, in total there will be 73 streets that will be rehabilitated.
“There would be about 73 that will be served with the resource that has been transferred so far, if the behavior continues as it has been until today and we will have another 24 months, we are talking about that we are waiting for a little more than 300 million pesos ”, he mentioned.
He said that in total what Repuve received with the extension of the decree could reach 600 million pesos.
“The Municipality has invested it to improve roads and not for patching, it has been allocated to resurfacing, to rehabilitation, specifically of roads of great importance and with high traffic in the urban area and throughout the city, not just in the Center , in the southeast,” the official mentioned.
