Tim Symons, lead producer of LEGO Horizon Adventures in Guerrillaha the game celebrated online as the first “triple A for Nintendo Switch” from the team, saying they couldn’t believe they did it, but the Responses from fans are mixed.
The message was published on X by Symons in response to the official tweet from Nintendo of America, which signals the opening of reservations for LEGO Horizon Adventures on Nintendo Switch. The producer took up the original message by adding “I still can’t believe we succeeded in the feat: developing a triple A for Nintendo Switch from PlayStation Studios”.
The message highlights the particularity of the case, i.e. a PlayStation Studios game launched on day one on Nintendo Switch, as well as the fact that the title in question is considered to all intents and purposes to be a true triple A and not a secondary Guerrilla project.
For some fans it’s kind of the beginning of the end
To tell the truth, it’s not a unique case given that MLB The Show is now in all respects a multiplatform series, but it’s certainly not common to see a PlayStation game on other consoles, so Symons’ enthusiasm is understandable.
In the replies under the message we can see many congratulations and compliments, with enthusiastic messages from several users, but also various criticisms, which focus on the fact of having brought the game to Nintendo Switch.
Many see this opening as detrimental to PlayStation, arguing that it would undermine the solidity of the consoles Sony and their exclusivesstarting a process of decline of these in favor of a multiplatform approach.
At the end of the day it’s always the same console war that doesn’t even spare the developers of “their own faction”, who in this case are even accused of betrayal for considering releasing a first party game on rival consoles.
Apart from all this, in recent days we have seen the trailer which announced the release date of LEGO Horizon Adventures set for November 14, as well as the prices and contents of the various editions and bonuses.
