Morbidelli still effective
The Japanese Grand Prix ended positively for the team Pramacand not only for the double top-5 placement which allows Jorge Martin to still maintain the championship leadership, albeit with a smaller advantage over Bagnaia. To complete the mini-ranking of the top five, as on Saturday, it was once again Franco Morbidellifresh from convincing performances already last week in Mandalika.
Not a perfect start
Interviewed by Sky Sports MotoGP at the end of the race, the 29-year-old Roman indicated an aspect on which he still needs to improve during the tests remaining between now and the end of the championship: “The first laps they are fundamental for the success of the race – he declared – I’m still not very incisive at that stagewe will try to understand how to improve by continuing to work. Every time I try in this race something happens; I seemed to have made a good start, but in 3rd place I collided with Marquez and lost everything, so let’s keep working.”
The duels with the KTMs
Little covered by international directors, Morbidelli was actually the protagonist in a beautiful duel especially with Brad Binderwhich ended in favor of the Pramac rider with the final 5th place: “Me and Binder we outdid each other a couple of timesI went long at 5 but then passed him again. It was tough, le KTM are very tough to overcome and I knew they would be a big problem even in the beginning with Jack (Miller, ed.). Brad was a very tough opponent, also because the tires were finished. I managed to throw myself into the 1 hoping that nothing would happen, and in the end it happened like this.”
