Today, Sunday, Tunisians will elect their new president from among three candidates led by outgoing President Kais Saied, following an election campaign.
Polling stations open their doors at eight in the morning (7:00 GMT) and close at six in the evening, to receive about ten million voters.
The Independent High Authority for Elections is expected to announce the preliminary results “at the latest” next Wednesday, and the possibility of announcing the results before this date remains possible.
Saeed (66 years old) is competing with former MP Zuhair Al-Maghzawi (59 years old), and Al-Ayashi Zamal, a 47-year-old businessman and engineer.
