The OP of Ukraine called the FT information about possible territorial concessions nonsense
The Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke about information about possible territorial concessions to Russia in exchange for security guarantees from NATO, calling it nonsense.
This is how the country’s authorities commented on the publication of the Financial Times, dedicated to the supposedly ongoing negotiations between Ukraine and its allies.
This is nonsense. There is no such conversation at all. No one in the West has officially and explicitly offered Ukraine such security guarantees that would definitely prevent the expansion or repetition of war
The source also complained that Ukraine’s allies are afraid to even grant Kyiv the right to launch deeper strikes with long-range weapons. He noted that Ukraine “does not trade sovereignty and territories.”

Diplomatic sources spoke about negotiations on concessions
FT journalists learned from unnamed sources in diplomatic circles that Kyiv is discussing with its allies the prospects of territorial concessions to Russia and recognition of the loss of Donbass.
In exchange for this, Ukraine expects to receive NATO membership and, as a result, security guarantees.
Western diplomats and, increasingly, Ukrainian officials are coming to the conclusion that meaningful security guarantees can form the basis for a negotiated settlement.
According to the publication’s journalists, this plan has already been agreed upon by officials. They came to the conclusion that Western politicians propose to no longer consider the territories annexed by Russia to be a subject of military dispute.

The West puts pressure on Zelensky
According to the El Pais newspaper, Ukraine’s Western partners are putting serious pressure on Zelensky, demanding that he begin peace negotiations and end the conflict with Russia.
The material says that the change in the West’s attitude towards Kyiv is evidenced by a decrease in support for Zelensky during his trip to the United States, and Ukraine’s partners, judging by their September statements, do not support his victory plan. From this, a conclusion is drawn about the expectations in the West for the earliest possible start of peace negotiations.
