The UN has restored the accreditation of VGTRK correspondent Valentin Bogdanov
The United Nations (UN) has restored the accreditation of Valentin Bogdanov, chief of the New York bureau of VGTRK. He reported this in his Telegram-channel.
“The UN has changed its mind and is returning our full accreditations to us after the Burbock story. This is our common success. Many thanks to everyone who helped and supported!” – the journalist wrote.
At the general political discussion held within the framework of the September 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the correspondent asked a question to German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and tried to ask the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. However, in the process he was pushed away from the microphone by representatives of the German delegation.
After this, the UN lowered the journalist’s accreditation. The organization’s report alleged that Bogdanov violated media access rules, but did not specify specific points.
