About 100 migrants will enter into a contract with the Russian Armed Forces after raids in St. Petersburg
About 100 migrants agreed to enter into a contract with the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) following a raid conducted by employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg. As noted in Telegram– channel of the department, it took place in the territories of the Senny Market and Apraksiny Dvor.
“More than 600 citizens, including foreign ones, were checked. More than 150 persons were taken to military commissariats for verification
and resolving the issue of military registration. Also, 139 migrants were taken to the departments of the internal affairs bodies for inspection. To date, based on the results of explanatory work in military registration and enlistment offices, at least 100 persons have expressed a desire to enroll in military service under a contract,” the message says.
It is also noted that one of the naturalized citizens of Russia refused to register with the military. Because of this, a procedure has been launched to deprive him of the country’s citizenship.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that in eight months of 2024, foreigners committed more than 26 thousand crimes in Russia. The department said that the number of crimes committed by “illegal immigrants” has almost tripled – from 2,880 to 8,059.
