Government|Center party secretary Antti Siika-aho describes the Christian Democrats as having “humiliated” Prime Minister Petteri Orpo by telling about the dissenting opinion of Agriculture and Forestry Minister Sari Essayah in tp-utva.
The center party secretary Antti Siika-aho criticizes the prime minister in harsh words Petteri Orpon (kok) leadership. Siika-aho writes in his Saturday announcement that the coalition suffers from Stockholm syndrome in the government.
Stockholm syndrome is a colloquial name for a psychological condition where, for example, hostages develop a sympathetic attitude towards their captors.
According to Siika-aho, this can be seen in the government’s policy, but also in Prime Minister Orpo’s attitude towards the “endless resignations” of government partners.
“Orpo shouts slogans about the unity of the government, even though it can be seen from miles away that Orpo’s discussions about the rules of the game do not move the government partners,” Siika-aho writes.
Siika-aho uses as an example, for example, the chairman of Basic Finns, the Minister of Finance Riikka Purran activities in connection with the announcement of the government’s anti-racism campaign in the summer.
Purra said that he does not believe that basic Finns will participate in the campaign on the same day that Prime Minister Orpo announced it at the end of August.
“On Friday [kristillisdemokraatit] took Purra’s example and humiliated Orpo by telling about his differing opinion on the government’s foreign policy, while Orpo assured the media of the government’s crystal-clear unity in foreign policy,” writes Siika-aho.
Christian Democrats Chairman, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Sari Essayah confirmed on Friday For the Democrat newspaper that he left a dissenting opinion in the minutes of the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee for Foreign and Security Policy, i.e. tp-utva.
Essayah told the newspaper that he cannot sign the UN resolution demanding that Israel end its illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories within a year. Finland’s foreign minister voted in favor of the resolution Elina Valtonen (kok) by decision.
Essayah’s extraordinary announcement came just hours after Prime Minister Orpo and the President Alexander Stubb had assured in their press conferences after the meeting that Finland’s foreign policy line is unified.
