Haley Joel Osment is the voice of Kingdom Hearts protagonist, Sorafor more than 20 years now, but it may almost be time to say goodbye to the character in Kingdom Hearts 4.
Osment voiced Sora for the first time inoriginal Kingdom Hearts from 2002 and has since reprized the role in 11 games, as well as providing the character’s voice in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He also voices Vanitas in the series.
Osment met with IGN Arcade and reflected on his career, gaming habits and more. But he also talked about Kingdom Hearts 4.
The words of Sora’s voice actor
“I hope we know something about it soon [Kingdom Hearts 4]I think there’s a rumor that there’s going to be another one,” he said.I’m always the last to knowbecause they are the last phase of the process. So I hope to get back in the studio soon to find out what happened to everyone.”
Let us remember that the creator of the saga, Tetsuya Nomurastated in a recent interview that Kingdom Hearts 4 should bring the story of the series towards its conclusion (which does not mean that it is the last game in the saga). Speaking of this news, Osment said he’s potentially preparing to say goodbye to Sora:
“I’m sure [Nomura] he has big plans to end the story in a satisfying way. AND I think sometimes this is the best thing to doeven if you have something you love and feel like you want to play with it forever, [è bene] wrap it up nicely and don’t let it drag beyond where the creator wants it to go. I believe this is the way to go. And clearly there are many, many hours of gameplay that people will be able to revisit.”
