Pole position for Pedro Acosta in Qualifying for the Japanese GP in Motegi, the first in MotoGP for the GasGas rider. The rookie stopped the clock at 1’43″018 ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Maverick Vinales.
Marc Marquez he had even dropped below the 1’43” barrier, but the lap was canceled due to failure to respect the track limits at the exit of Turn-4, a truly minimal infringement, but sufficient for the cancellation of the lap.
Anyone who chews bitters in addition to the eight-time world champion is Jorge Martinwho fell in the second run, the decisive one. The world championship leader will have to come back from the fourth row.
