Mexico City.- The federal Secretary of Health, David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz, announced that Eduardo Clark García Dobarganes, former head of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation (ADIP) of the Government of Mexico City, assumed the position of Undersecretary of Integration and Development of the Ssa and Alejandro Svarch. Pérez was appointed general director of the IMSS-Wellbeing.
This was communicated at the facilities of the Ministry of Health (Ssa) located in Mexico City, where Kershenobich reported the three points entrusted by President Claudia Sheinbaum.
The official expressed the full support of the agency under his charge to consolidate the IMSS-Wellness and entrusted Clark with the development of care platforms and with ensuring that this new health scheme does not lack supplies. In the first instance, he highlighted that the venue of the event was chosen to give a message of unity and integration of the health system in general.
“We are facing a new stage in the Ministry of Health and Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum has charged us with three points in particular,” he indicated.
Among these he mentioned strengthening and continuing to advance in the IMSS-Wellbeing; migrate towards a system that emphasizes proactivity, prevention and primary care, so that they not only offer services in the final or advanced stages of patients; and work for a universal health system for everyone in Mexican territory. “They will have all the support of the Ministry of Health in whatever is needed, and that includes supplies, facilities, etc., everything that is required to be able to continue advancing in the management of IMSS-Wellbeing,” Kershenobich said about the first point. . “We have had several health systems and this system is key to being able to continue advancing in the integration of the country’s health services. The Ministry of Health will try to provide what is required in resources. “Here is a very important task (which has) the undersecretary of Eduardo (Clark) so that you can have those necessary supplies so that it can be attended to. “That we have the laboratory tests, that we have the supplies that are required, both for diagnosis and treatment for the different conditions,” he recommended. To measure the importance of the second point, he said that chronic-degenerative conditions such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure , metabolic disease and kidney damage, are responsible for 80 percent of morbidity and mortality in Mexico. Regarding the third and last point, referring to a universal health system, he clarified that it seeks to make health services available to everyone. Mexicans, regardless of their employment status, with a view to advancing coverage for the migrant population. The official stressed that they must operate with quality and safety, and must begin with actions such as dignifying care spaces, with cleanliness, without. that employees eat in the work area, where there is garbage control and organization. With Eduardo Clark García, he announced, work will also be done on the implementation of platforms to identify moments of intervention, but that also allow adequate monitoring of people. throughout his life. “We will work hard so that appointments are not delayed, so that supplies arrive, etc. So, we congratulate all of you for the opportunity you have to serve in this model. For his part, Alejandro Svarch Pérez, general director of IMSS-Wellbeing, pointed out that this health model will be guided by four premises: health is a social good; It is a right that has to be guaranteed by the State; free is not enough to guarantee public health provision; and health is a right but also an obligation. He reported that to advance the consolidation of this project, key alliances will be built with actors in the health system, including the Ministry of Health and its state counterparts, and 23 federal coordinations of the IMSS-Wellbeing will be strengthened.
