Mohamed Ramadan, the sports director of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, decided to refer the statements of Algerian Ahmed Qandousi, the Al-Ahly player loaned to Ceramica, to the club’s legal affairs. Al-Ahly stated on its official website that it was decided to address his current club to summon the player to give his statements regarding what he said.
Al-Qandousi had mentioned in television statements that his compatriot Zinedine Belaid was at Al-Ahly’s doorstep with a stake of up to 70%, but he insisted on completing the deal through his official agent, while those who spoke to him on Al-Ahly’s side tried to impose a specific agent.
He added: “Belaid refused to betray his agent, because he has been working with him for many years, and we as Algerians refuse to have any matters imposed on us, and therefore the deal was not completed, but there is no truth to my role in spoiling it, and there is no role for the Algerian national team coach, Vladimir Petkovic.”
He explained that the move to Al-Ahly “is going through a stage of dealing with several agents,” which is what happened with him during his arrival from Algeria’s ES Setif, but he was not connected to an official agent at the time.
The statements of Al-Qandousi, who is still a player with Al-Ahly, caused a state of intense anger inside the Red Castle and among the fans.
