ElAnalistaDeBits has published a new and definitive video comparison between remake of Silent Hill 2 coming out on PS5 and PC in a few days and the original released in the now distant 2001 on PS2, highlighting the notable differences on a graphic level, but also other less obvious ones from the point of view of sound and stylistic and level design changes.
This is not the first comparative video created by the tech enthusiast for the Bloober Team title, but this is the “final” one created using sequences captured directly from the complete game. This gave the YouTuber the opportunity to create an even more in-depth comparison of gameplay and videos.
Not just a graphic comparison
In addition to direct comparisons between the two games, ElAnalistaDeBits’ footage also offers an example of some of the new areas and puzzles players will face that were missing from the original title, as well as how the gameplay has been modernized and enriched to bring it up to today’s standards.
We remind you that Silent Hill 2 will be available on PS5 and PC starting from 8 October and from the 6th of the same month for those who purchased the digital Deluxe Edition. If you haven’t already done so, we suggest you read our review.
