A glitch in German air traffic control has caused problems throughout German airspace, the air traffic control authority announced Friday.
Due to the fault, which has now been fixed, delays of varying degrees occurred across the country, the authority said. According to the authority, the defect led to the loss of flight schedule data and weather data in particular.
The authority’s statement said: “The malfunction has been repaired and the systems are back in operation,” explaining in return that the data lost during the malfunction now needs to be updated.
