The disappearance of six young Colombian women in Mexico drew the attention of Colombia after it became known that they had been tricked into the North American country.

The women, who had been reported missing, were rescued after six days of uncertainty about their whereabouts. As the families of the victims had stated, the woman who would be responsible for this event responded to the name of Yesica Anahí Ramírez Marín.
As this newspaper was able to confirm in previous publications, thanks to the follow-up of documents found at the time of the rescue, it was possible to corroborate that she is registered in Veracruz and is 33 years old.
The woman was captured and will be prosecuted for human trafficking
This Thursday, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Veracruz notified through a statement that Yesica Anahí was captured “as probable responsible for the crime of human trafficking, to the detriment of six women of Colombian nationality, whose identities are protected.”
The woman is now the subject of investigation as the alleged perpetrator and will be accused in front of a judge who will determine her judicial status.
