of Denmark princess Benedikte has resigned from his position as patron of the Danish Equestrian Association, says Ekstrabladet. The King’s House announced the resignation with a short announcement.

The Danish Equestrian Association and its competitors have been embroiled in scandals recently.
The biggest uproar arose during the Paris Olympics, when a top-class dressage rider Carina Cassøe Krüth was excluded from the Danish national team. The reason was a leaked video showing Krüth whipping his horse twice.
In addition, at the Paris Olympics, bluetongue was observed in the Danish dressage horses, which was suspected to be caused by malnutrition.
There are internal disputes in the union’s board, due to which four members have publicly tried to fire the chairman by Dan Boyter.
Princess Benedikte has not said in more detail whether the separation is due to internal disputes within the union or horse fights or both.
