Tesla announced this Thursday, 3, that it will recall more than 27 thousand Cybertrucks in the United States due to delays in rear camera images, which can compromise the driver’s visibility and increase the risk of collisions.
This is the fifth recall issued by Tesla for 2024 Cybertruck models since January. The company is releasing a software update to resolve the latest issue.

The most current recall affects most Cybertrucks in the US and is the largest of five carried out this year for the vehicle. In April, Tesla issued a recall to fix the accelerator pedal coating and in June it carried out another to resolve problems with windshield wipers and exterior trim.
The automaker began deliveries of the Cybertruck in November 2023, after a two-year delay due to production issues and battery supply constraints. The company has not released production or delivery numbers for the Cybertruck.
Tesla said that in affected vehicles, the Cybertruck system may not complete the shutdown process before being triggered to turn on again, resulting in a delay in displaying the rear camera image.
