Montreal Canadiens Patrick Laine26, met with the media on Thursday in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, and shared new information about her recent days.
Laine was injured last weekend in a practice game against Toronto. of Toronto Cedrid Pare tackled the Finn with the result that the two’s knees collided.
Montreal announced on Tuesday that Laine survived the seemingly bad injury with surprisingly little damage. According to the Canadian club’s release, Laine’s knee sprained, and the Finn will be sidelined for an estimated 2-3 months.
Laine revealed that she decided herself not to have her knee operated on.
“I met a few doctors and got good insights from them. In the end it was my decision what to do with the knee. I decided not to operate on the knee, but to rehabilitate it,” Laine said.
“That’s my knee.”
According to Laine, both options, surgery and rehabilitation treatment, were on the table. The Finnish star assured that he will do everything to be excellent when he returns to the rink.

Wave has suffered a painful amount of injuries in recent years. The Finn played his last official NHL game in December of last year.
“The first couple of days after the injury were overwhelming. I had worked hard to get back on the rink, and then I got hurt in the second match,” Laine said.
Laine, who moved from Columbus to Montreal this summer, only had time to play one practice game before getting injured early in the second game. Already in his first match, he became a new favorite of Montreal fans.
