There mod “Please Shut Up” Of God of War: Ragnarok on PC does what many players have been waiting for for a long time, that is completely removes numerous aids which come from Atreus and various companions through the deletion of 1500 lines of dialogue focused on puzzles and basic game mechanics.
The mod in question carries on a sort of tradition on the PC front and in particular with regards to PlayStation games, which are notoriously very prone to facilitate too much the action of the players with constant advice and indications to solve the small puzzles present but which, in fact, end up ruining the experience for anyone who doesn’t mind using their brains a little.
Previously, we had also seen the “Shut Up Aloy” mod for Horizon Forbidden West, which does the same thing, i.e. removes various lines of dialogue with intrusive helpin this case coming largely from the protagonist of the game herself.
There are actually a lot of dialogues focused on aid
You can see the mod in question at this address on Nexus Mods, obviously tireless at your own risk, but which should not affect other elements beyond the removal of game tips.
What’s rather impressive though is the amount of lines of dialogue that are removed, or around 1500, which gives a measure of how many tips are given to the player during the course of God of War: Ragnarok, which actually had already given rise to a certain controversy at the time.
Suffice it to say that, for comparison, the corresponding mod for Horizon Forbidden West removes “only” 900 lines of dialogue.
The PC version also has an option to limit Atreus’ help in the puzzles, but evidently it only makes a partial reduction, while in this case their total removal is achieved, also with regards to the help in the basic mechanics.
The PC version of God of War Ragnarok also had a mod ready to remove the PSN account requirement, but it was removed by the creator out of fear of repercussions from Sony.
