Jewish New Year is celebrated until Friday (Oct 4); Israel is at war with Hamas and Hezbollah and has been attacked by Iran
The former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) wished this Wednesday (2.Oct.2024) a happy new year to the Jews and asked “peace to the world”. He recorded a video alongside his son Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), senator, and lawyer Fabio Wajngarten.
Rosh Hashanah, or Jewish New Year, is celebrated from this Wednesday (Oct 2nd) until Friday (Oct 4th). It marks the beginning of year 5,785 of the religious calendar.
This year, the celebration takes place at a time when Israel, the Jewish nation-state, is at war with the extremist groups Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, and Hezbollah, in Lebanon, and has been attacked by Iran.
