Maria Campai was beaten and suffocated: the results of the autopsy that lasted more than four hours are chilling
A chilling report that sheds light on a dark and inhuman story, what emerged from the autopsy conducted on the body of Maria Campai42 years old. The autopsy examination, which lasted over four hours, revealed the terrible details of how the 17-year-old attacked the woman.
According to the medical report, Maria Campai was violently injured dive before being suffocated. Brutal blows to the face and head, followed by a lethal grip on the neck, performed with a martial arts move. The boy, who met the woman through a paid dating chat, allegedly reacted with ferocious violence at the moment of payment, hitting her repeatedly until he suffocated her. The numerous fractures found on the victim’s body, in the head, sternum and ribs, contradict the version given by the young man, who had tried to minimize the event by claiming that Maria had fallen from a sofa.
The autopsycarried out at the Carlo Poma hospital in Mantua by the medical examiner Antonello Cirnelli, revealed the brutality of the murder, definitively dismantling the young man’s defense. The injuries sustained by the woman are not compatible with a simple fall, but rather with a beating.
The 17-year-old transported the body to the garden of an abandoned villa near the garage of his home, covering it with leaves to hide it. For seven days, Maria Campai remained there, under a tree, while the boy continued his apparently normal life, dividing his time between school and the gym, without showing signs of repentance.
The turning point in the investigation came thanks to the victim’s sister, who recognized the young man as the last person seen with Maria. Under pressure from the investigators, the boy finally indicated the place where he had hidden the body. In front of the judge for preliminary investigations, he continued to defend himself, claiming that he had only “defended” himself against the woman and that he had only grabbed her by the neck to push her away. A version that did not convince the magistrate, who confirmed the precautionary custody in prison with the aggravating circumstance of premeditation and the concealment of corpses.
A disturbing detail emerges from the boy’s psychological profile: before the murder, he had searched the internet for information on how to kill with his bare hands and praised Giulia Cecchettin’s killer, Filippo Turetta. On Instagram, he even posted a photo with the words “Brian Moser,” a reference to the prostitute-killer character from the series Dexter. An alarming signal that suggests a ruthless awareness of one’s actions.
Premeditation also in the attempt to mislead the investigations. He sent a message from the victim’s phone to his sister, pretending that Maria was fine and would return home. That cell phone, crucial to the investigation, has disappeared: the young man said he had thrown it in a dumpster, further complicating the search.
It is difficult to understand how an apparently normal teenager, a regular visitor to school and the gym, could have committed such a heinous crime. The macabre scenario of a premeditated murder remains, with the young man acting alone, without accomplices.
