Pirelli concluded the second day of testing on the Magny Cours track, home to 18 editions of the French GP from 1992 to 2008. The sole supplier of tires to F1 has continued the development of the tires for 2025 thanks to the collaboration of Mercedes .
Yesterday Mick Schumacher, Stella’s reserve driver, was busy on the W15, but the German had to deal with the bad weather which strongly affected the work program because the pouring rain made the track almost impassable, so much so that Mick was able to carry out only a few laps (29 in total, best time 1’39”072).

Today George Russell was on stage and the Englishman also ran with the silver-black arrow in difficult weather conditions, but not as prohibitive as yesterday: the rain at times accompanied by rather low temperatures advised the Bicocca technicians to develop wet tires extreme and intermediate.
At the end of the day, Russell completed 85 laps, equal to 374.9 kilometres, the fastest in a time of 1’28”428.
Pirelli’s development tests will continue next week, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th, at the Mugello circuit, where three teams will be involved: Red Bull and Ferrari will dedicate themselves to next season’s tyres, while McLaren will be the second team to support the Global Tire Supplier of Formula 1 in the development of the 2026 tires with a mule car.
