The events occurred on September 8 when the Spanish Police captured Manchester City footballer Matheus Nunes, 26, for allegedly stealing a high-end mobile phone from another person in a Madrid nightclub after the latter took a photograph of him.
As the newspaper explained The World and police sources have confirmed to EFE, the events occurred at 5:30 in the morning in Spain, and the player was released after giving a statement at the Arganzuela district police station in the capital.
