The Lebanese army said in a statement, “An Israeli enemy force violated the Blue Line for a distance of approximately 400 meters inside Lebanese territory in the areas of Khirbet Yaroun and Al-Adisa Gate, then withdrew after a short period.”
Hezbollah said, in a statement earlier, that it was engaged in new clashes with Israeli forces that had “infiltrated” a town in southern Lebanon.
The party said in a statement, “The Islamic Resistance is engaged in clashes with enemy soldiers infiltrating the town of Maroun al-Ras,” in southern Lebanon, noting the “continuation” of the clashes, which it said had caused “casualties” among the ranks of the Israeli forces.
In media statements, the director of media relations in Hezbollah said, after the clashes with the Israeli forces: “We are only in the first round.”
Hezbollah’s media relations director added, “We have enough fighters, weapons and ammunition to defeat Israel.”
Later, the Israeli army said that it had detected about 40 missiles that crossed Lebanese territory towards the Upper Galilee, some of which were intercepted and their impact in the region was monitored, while Israeli Army Radio said that since the morning hours, more than 110 missiles had been launched from Lebanon.
