The project includes the highest concentrated solar energy tower in the world, with a height of 263,126 metres, and the largest thermal energy storage capacity with a capacity of 5,907 megawatt hours, according to Guinness World Records.
Also, His Highness listened to an explanation from Saeed Al Tayer about the sixth phase of the complex, which is currently being implemented, with a capacity of 1,800 megawatts, using the independent energy producer system, with investments amounting to about 5.5 billion dirhams. This phase will provide clean energy to about 540,000 homes, and will contribute to reducing 2.36 million tons of carbon emissions annually. The project extends over an area of 20 square kilometers.

During the visit, His Highness was briefed on a number of pioneering projects implemented by the Authority, including the project to store and recover desalinated water in groundwater basins, which, upon completion, will allow 6,000 million gallons to be stored and retrieved when needed, making it the largest of its kind in the world to store drinking water and provide it in emergency situations.
