IRAN’S ATTACK
The offensive began around 1:30 pm (Brasília time). It was at this time that sirens rang across the country and FDI (Israel Defense Forces) asked the population to “calm” and advised them to seek shelter.
“Continue to act responsibly and remain calm, as you have done thus far, and make sure you follow the guidelines. We are strong and we can handle this event too“, said, in a statement, the Israeli spokesman, Daniel Hagari.
The orientation lasted about an hour. At around 2:30 pm (Brasília time), a new statement from the Israeli army advised people to return to their daily lives.
The IDF reported that 180 missiles were launched against Israel. There are few details about the consequences of the attack.
Explosions were heard in the skies over Tel Aviv at the same time as flashes of light from the Iron Dome defense system were seen.
“During the defense, we made some interceptions. There are some impacts in the center and southern areas of the country”said Hagari
In the initial statement, the IDF said it was at maximum readiness and left open the possibility of launching a retaliatory strike against Iran.
