The anger of Viry employees
In the letter, among the various points underlined, reference is also made to failure to accept an agreement proposed to Renault top management with a view to 2026: “Partnership solutions were rejected by the Group, even though they would have made it possible to achieve various objectives: maintaining an activity in F1, reducing development and management costs, maintaining all skills, the possibility of bringing an already extensively developed and promising RE26 engine”.
“The site of Viry-Châtillon – it was also underlined in the letter – will go from 500 to 334 jobs on January 1with the contracts of many service providers ending. […] For all these reasons, the CSE staff representatives unanimously expressed a negative opinion on the transformation project. We ask public authorities to defend the sustainability of employment on the Viry-Châtillon site”, is written in the conclusion of the press release.
