Through a new report from publisher CI Games, we have the opportunity to see the latest official details on Lords of the Fallen 2the soulslike action RPG planned for 2026although not yet fully announced.
The presentation it should arrive next year as indicated, with a “strong marketing companion” behind it to advertise the video game. It is also indicated that the work is created with Unreal Engine 5 (the most recent generation of Epic Games’ graphics engine).
Obviously all the details on the development and the announcement and publication periods are internal references, so it is not at all certain that they will be respected. The development of video games is complex and often until a few months before the release you are not sure of being able to meet the deadlines.
Lords of the Fallen 2 will be more accessible
One of the main objectives outlined in the report is to improve the accessibility of the gamethus attracting a larger fan base. Hexworks intends to achieve this by introducing additional game modes and implementing various gameplay improvements. One of the features it will include is full “shared progression” during co-op play, alongside the main single-player campaign.
Another important detail revealed concerns the exclusivity agreement with Epic Games. The game will be an Epic Store exclusive on PC. This last detail won’t make many Steam users happy, we assume, but it’s something over which the development team has no control and which is completely in the hands of the publisher.
Earlier this year we saw that Lords of the Fallen sold more than 1.2 million copies.
