Wolf: in Moscow, the FSB and the police detained a group that was processing citizenship for migrants
In Moscow, employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia, together with police officers from the department of economic security and anti-corruption, detained a group of Russians who were helping migrants illegally obtain Russian citizenship. Official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported this to Lenta.ru.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Organization of illegal migration”). A preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen against two of the detainees; three more defendants are under recognizance not to leave and of proper behavior.
According to the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the general director of a certain company engaged in data processing and providing services in the field of information placement, developed a criminal scheme. According to it, the head of a construction company employed foreigners in positions under which they could obtain a residence permit under simplified conditions. It is noted that the migrants did not carry out actual labor activities. Two more participants in the criminal scheme were the director of an outsourcing company and a lawyer who was involved in preparing fictitious documents. It is also known about their accomplice, a personnel officer at one of the companies. She accompanied the migrants to the registration organization with ready-made documents. For all this, the attackers received from 300 to 400 thousand rubles.
All defendants were detained by police in the Moscow region. Security forces conducted searches in the office premises and at their residential addresses. As a result, documents, seals, electronic media and other items of evidentiary value were confiscated.
Earlier it was reported that members of a criminal group that illegally prepared documents for obtaining Russian citizenship for 16 Ukrainians were arrested in Moscow.
