Internet users compared the first lady to coach Joel Santana, who went viral for his way of speaking English
Internet users reacted to a mistake by the first lady, Janja Lula da Silva, in a video recorded in Central Park, in New York (USA). In the images, published on social media on Sunday (September 29, 2024), she asks for help in the fight against hunger, calls on festival participants Global Citizen with this objective and speaks in English in a section.
However, Janja was wrong to call on “global citizens” – the correct one is “citizens” (watch the moment below). The moment went viral on social media. Some internet users compared the first lady to coach Joel Santana, who went viral for his way of speaking English.
Here are some of the memes:

The edition North American festival of Global Citizen was held on Saturday (September 28), in Central Park, on the island of Manhattan. It featured performances by Post Malone, Doja Cat, LISA, Rauw Alejandro and Jelly Roll.
Janja’s video was published after the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, confirmed that Belém (PA) will have a Coldplay concert before COP30 in 2025.
“It’s confirmed! It is with great joy that we receive the news that the 2025 Global Citizen festival will be in Belém. We are waiting for the band Coldplay in our city. See you there!”, wrote the minister in your profile on Instagram.
The government of the State of Pará negotiated to host an edition of the NGO Global Citizen to Belém just before COP30, a UN (United Nations) climate event, to be held in 2025 in the capital of Pará.
Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, is one of the NGO’s global leaders. The idea would be to hold the festival in the capital of Pará 15 to 20 days before COP30 effectively. The other artists who will participate in the festival are expected to be announced on November 17, 2024.
