The authorities of Uzbekistan have denied reports of beatings of Russian-speaking schoolchildren
The Department of Preschool and School Education of the Jizzakh Region of Uzbekistan denied the report of the beating of Russian-speaking students of school No. 1 in the city of Jizzakh. Writes about this RIA Novosti.
At the same time, the Uzbek authorities admitted that there was a conflict on personal grounds between the seventh-graders. According to preliminary information, the incident is not related to the issue of language. Law enforcement officers also conducted a preventive conversation with schoolchildren involved in the conflict.
Earlier on September 30, the children’s ombudsman of Uzbekistan, Suraye Rakhmonova, promised to check information about allegedly constant violence against Russian-speaking students in a Jizzakh school. Some Russian media wrote about the beating of schoolchildren who do not speak Uzbek.
