It’s been a year since the release of Sea of Starsbut Sabotage Studios’ RPG continues to receive support, with a new big free update coming in November which adds the local co-op mode and combat changes.
The update is called Dawn of Equinox and has a release date set for November 12 on PC and console, bringing with it several new features regarding multiplayer, fighting and also something for speedrunning enthusiasts, given the expected additions.
Before the launch of Throes of the Watchmaker, the big expansion scheduled for 2025, there will therefore be room for various adjustments and new introductions in this new update scheduled for November.
Lots of new features in preparation for the 2025 expansion
With the arrival of Dawn of Equinox it will be possible to play the entire campaign with two or three players through local cooperative multiplayer, which also involves a change in the combat system.
In fact, with the arrival of the cooperative, the mechanics of “Co-op Time Hits” are also introduced, i.e. special shots to be carried out with the right timing and coordination with the other players.
Also introduced into the combat system are Mystery Lockswhich reveal how to break enemy spells, as well as the ability to reveal other characteristics based on new abilities added to characters.
Sabotage is also reviewing the balancing general to accommodate some feedback reported by users in recent months. New presets will be introduced to change the difficulty level through various parameters, starting a new game.
With Dawn of Equinox also new ones arrive relicswith one in particular that seems entirely dedicated to speedrunning enthusiasts, plus there will be a revision of the prologue with a new introductory scene and other elements.
