During the “Light of The Future” conference held in Qingdao, China, Hisense officially announced that it will mass produce its 150 inch laser TV. This move represents an evolution in the large TV market, surpassing the current 120-inch limit.
Hisense’s decision reflects growing consumer preference for 100-inch and larger TVs. Laser TVs, with their ability to project high-quality images onto large screens, are emerging as an ideal solution to meet this demand.
Be careful, though: Laser TVs can be confused with traditional televisions, but they are not. Hisense identifies the acronym dei ultra short throw projectors designed to act as a classic television. However, these projectors are increasingly establishing themselves as replacements for traditional large TVs, which lead the Advanced TV market, because they are generally easier to transport and do not require long cables like classic cinema projectors.
The so-called Laser TVs, then, are not only distinguished by the size of the screen, but also by their technological innovation and design. As pointed out by Dennys Li, President of Hisense Visual Technology, these devices have made it possible to create rollable and flip-up screens, offering new possibilities for integrating screens into home environments.
The “Light of The Future” conference was then an opportunity to explore the new frontiers of laser display technology. In addition to the presentation of the 150-inch Laser TV, new ideas for the development of the sector over the next ten years were discussed, with a focus on artificial intelligence, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
