Forecaster Vilfand: dangerous weather phenomena are expected in eight regions of Russia
At the beginning of the week, dangerous weather conditions are expected in eight regions of Russia – dust storms, rain and strong winds. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, warned about this, writes TASS.
Thus, in the south of the European part of Russia, in Kalmykia and the Rostov region, sandstorms are predicted – there has been no precipitation in the regions for a long time. The wind will increase to 22 and 27 meters per second, respectively. The forecaster added that there will be heavy rain in the Krasnodar region on October 1.
“Hurricane winds of up to 33 meters per second are expected on the coast of the Pechora Sea, in the areas of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and in the southeast of the Barents Sea,” Vilfand said. For residents of Ingushetia, Dagestan and the Chechen Republic, the meteorologist promised wind gusts of up to 30 meters per second on the plain and up to 35 meters per second in mountainous areas. In connection with this, a storm warning has been declared in the regions.
Earlier, Moscow residents were predicted to see the onset of Indian summer in October. Summer warmth will return to the capital region again – the thermometer until Thursday inclusive will show from 17 to 22 degrees. The temperature these days will be five to six degrees above normal, forecasters said.
