Foreign airlines occupied 40% of the Russian international transport market
Foreign air carriers occupy a 40 percent share of the Russian market for foreign flights. This was stated by Aeroflot First Deputy General Director for Commerce and Finance Andrey Chikhanchin, transmits RBC.
According to him, in July of this year, transportation by Russian airlines on foreign flights amounted to 2.7 million passengers, and by foreign airlines – 1.9 million.
It is clarified that, based on the results of seven months of this year, Russian carriers transported 15.1 million passengers abroad, and foreign ones – 10.3 million.
Earlier, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that Russia will not allow a repeat of a situation similar to the departure of Boeing and Airbus from the country. He also noted that foreign Airbus and Boeing aircraft in the fleet of domestic airlines fully comply with the requirements of the Russian aviation authorities.
