Entity announced venues for the competition scheduled for 2025; at least 3 Brazilian teams are already classified
FIFA announced on Saturday (September 28, 2024) the stadiums that will host the 2025 Club World Cup games, which will be held in the United States in June and July. The final will be played at MetLife Stadiumin New Jersey.
Here are the stadiums that will host the competition:
- Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami, Florida;
- Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington;
- Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, California;
- Camping World Stadium, in Orlando, Florida;
- Inter&Co Stadium, in Orlando, Florida;
- Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia;
- Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee
- Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina;
- Cincinnati TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio;
- Audi Field, in Washington DC;
- Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;
- MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Despite being located in the State of New Jersey, MetLife Stadium is home to teams based in New York. This is the case, for example, of the New York Jets and New York Giants, NFL (National Football League) teams. The stadium has the capacity to receive around 82,500 fans.
So far, 30 of the 32 teams have qualified for the Club World Cup.
There are two vacancies remaining: that of the 2024 Libertadores champion and a representative of the host country, the USA.
Three Brazilian clubs are already classified:
- Palm trees – 2021 Libertadores champion;
- Flemish – 2022 Libertadores champion;
- Fluminense – 2023 Libertadores champion.
The last 3 Champions League champions, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City, are also confirmed. From Argentina, Boca Juniors and River Plate qualified via the Conmebol ranking.
The competition will be held from June 15th to July 13th, 2025.
