The team’s Risraldense runner Kevin Castillo was crowned for the first time as champion of the Classic RCNafter the last stage, a 12-kilometer time trial between Beautiful and Tall Rooms won by Wilson Pena.

Castillo was the best rider of the event, without a doubt, as he achieved four partial victories and since he put on the yellow shirt he never let go.
No rivals
Gabriel Jaime VelezCastillo’s coach, knew how to manage the differences over his rivals, who constantly attacked him, but the yellow shirt dominated his opponents at will.
Kevin Castillo won the days in Ibagué, Manizales, Cali and Caldas and reached the last stage with a manageable difference for the time trial.
They accompanied him on the podium Róbinson López (GW Erco Shimano), who was second, and Cristian Muñoz (NU), third.
“Winning here in Colombia is too hard because the teams are well formed. I have great teammates and they helped me win. Peña is a very classy runner and he has guided me,” said Castillo.
And he added: “Last year I said that in two or three years I would be competing in the big races in the country and God helped me for this.”
